For 40 years, Bernie Sanders has been advocating for Medicare for All, livable wage, Free Public College, LGBT & women’s rights, combating Climate Change. He was arrested for protesting housing segregation in Chicago in 1963. He has an excellent record on fighting for Veteran’s healthcare and Medicare for All in Congress.
Medicare for All
It’s time for the U.S. to join every major industrialized country on earth and provide universal healthcare to all through a cost-saving single payer system.
Support a Green New Deal
Create jobs in renewable energy, and divest from fossil fuels that are causing irreversible Climate Change, disproportionately impacting Native American communities and lower income communities of color.

Everyone in this country who studies hard should be able to go to college regardless of income, and not be weighted down by unsurmountable student debt.
Universal Childcare and Pre-K
Every psychologist knows the most formative years for a human is from ages 0-3. Every family in America should have access to high quality childcare and pre-K.
Pay Equity for Women
By signing the Paycheck Fairness Act into law, we can end the outrage that women earn just 78 cents for every dollar a man earns.
Paid Family and Medical Leave
Real family values are about making sure that parents have the time they need to bond with their babies and take care of their children and relatives when they get ill.

Dismantle inhumane deportation programs and detention centers; implement comprehensive immigration reform and a path to citizenship.
Addressing Systemic Racism
Reinvest in Black, Latino, Native American, and Asian American communities that have suffered for centuries as a result of slavery, colonialism, and imperialism, by investing in education, healthcare, support services and economic opportunities in those communities, ending the school-to-prison pipeline.
Criminal Justice Reform
Prosecute police officers for killings of unarmed individuals, especially people of color; implement police reform to address racial bias; end the War on Drugs and minimum sentencing, which has been over-incarcerating people of color for minor possession offences; dismantle the for-profit prisons; end the money bail system that criminalizes poverty.
Sign into law the Equality Act, the Every Child Deserves a Family Act that prohibits discrimination against LGBTQ people; advance policies to reduce bullying of and alarming suicide rates among sexual and gender minorities; require police departments to adopt policies to ensure fairer interactions with transgender people, especially transgender women of color.
Expand Social Security
Lifting the cap on taxable income above $250,000 so that every American can retire with dignity.

Fair taxation for the wealthy and large corporations
Stop corporations from shifting their profits and jobs overseas to avoid paying U.S. income taxes. Create an estate tax on the top 0.3 % of Americans who inherit more than $3.5 million. Enact a tax on Wall Street speculators who caused millions of Americans to lose their jobs, homes, and life savings.
Breaking up huge financial institutions
Seven years ago, the taxpayers of this country bailed out Wall Street because they were too big to fail. Yet, 3 out of the 4 largest financial institutions are 80 percent bigger today than before we bailed them out.

Reversing trade policies like NAFTA, CAFTA, and PNTR with China that have driven down wages and caused the loss of millions of jobs. If corporate America wants us to buy their products they need to manufacture those products in this country, not in China or other low-wage countries.
Creating 1 million jobs for disadvantaged youth
Investing $5.5 billion in a youth jobs program to address the high youth unemployment rate.
Stop Unnecessary wars, Promote Diplomacy
The was in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, have destabilized the region, killed innocent civilians, and led to more extremists, not security. The last thing we need to to go to war with Venezuela and other countries in Central and South America.
